I'd stay in oxford to many democrats in batesville. Go to Ajax on the square to eat or the steakhouse next to it.

We always stay at the Ramada Inn. Mention that you're there to fish and they might throw you a little discount. Cafe' Ole is good eatin and several more places within drivin distance.
