Reason I ask is I got the estimate for all the work that needs doing. Around $800 for cleaning 4 carbs, lower unit oil, new plus, impeller and a couple more things. I just didn't know it had 4 carbs. This was from Action Marine and labor is $120 an hour OUCH
if you got to ask that question i suggest you do not work on it
bring it to me 50 dollars a hour labor

nah, had enough vo tec students working on stuff. Last one forgot to tighten up 2 bolts under my front end. LOL
Get squirt can and mix 50-50 seafoam and high test gas, squirt some in all the carbs and let it sit for 1 hr then squirt some 2 stroke fuel in each carb then crank it up beats a carb rebuild.
Go to the parts house and buy some Deep Creep ( its Seafoam version in a spray can) spray inside all of the carb throats real good and let sit overnight.....then spray them down again....pour a whole bottle of Seafoam in your gas tank and run the snot out of it.
So you had a mechanic tell you it had 4 carbs and then questioning it. Sounds like you've got trust issues with the guy and might wanna find somebody else to work on it, but the price ain't that had for work described
