    Default Place to stay ?

I have a cabin on a private lake and thinking about renting it during the spring crappie migration,25min from Grenada.Would this be a good idea or more trouble than it's worth? If it's worth the effort what would someone pay or what would be a fair price per day?Just kicking this idea around not sure on anythimg yet.I just see folk's looking for places to stay and what I have is better than a hotel.

Will you be furnishing linens, towels and other things like the motels and cabins do?
Look over the state park cabins as to what they furnish, adjust your price with them.
Reduce your rate some since the cabin isn't on the water and not close to town.
Add a firepit and supply wood at a bit more per stay, if they want it.
How many will it sleep? Space for an Queen airbed or 2?

Make them pay a deposit refundable after their stay!If any damage occurs you aren't left high and dry!Sounds like a pretty good idea to me if you aren't using it yourself! If you do decide send me a PM as to the cost. I may want to rent it!

I wouldn't do it on a broadcast basis. Referrals maybe. Too much of a liability and sooner or later somebody is going to tear your crap up. Just do what I do...offer free boat parking in exchange for the occasional boofey, plus all the waypoints and loose baits I can pilfer.

We have a family cabin in NC that we'll rent out every now and then based on referrals from friends and family. It works out okay. A deposit and rental agreement is a requirement before anything moves forward. I rented it to some strangers once and the stress that it caused the family (OMG! The house will be destroyed by strangers! OMG!) made it more hassle than it was worth and that was with a surgeon, his wife, and another couple. I won't do that again.
