Do I need to use treated on non-treated lumber ? Got to go get some 2x6s and cut em down to 4 3/4 wide instead of 5 1/2

If you don't use treated, you will replace them again next year

I was thinking of replacing mine with composite decking boards. What I've read about it you wouldn't need carpet.

Years ago a friend replaced the bunks on his trailer. We launched the boat and the trailer floated.
There is a pad to use instead of carpet but with replacing the bunks and the pad, the deck boards are cheaper.
