Default Hated to see this happen.

This big old tree stated to look kinda sick and has been getting worse for the last few years so before one of those limbs broke did some major damage we decide to have it taken down. The crew started sat. morn about 7:30 am and worked until sat night until 9:30. Came back yes and finished up. After the trunk came down our suspicions were confirmed.Gonna miss the shade.

Our daughter and SIL had to do the same thing to one in her yard, stump looks just like that. Another SIL took the wood to his home, has enough oak wood for a while in his wood burner.

Looks like you caught it in time Mr. Jim. Better to take it down this way than off of your house.
