Where is the best place to launch into the river? Go to the dam and put in or is there any ramps down river?

Thanks Big C. I was wondering about the mud. Went to Greenwood last week, and the river down there was pretty shallow. At least they had dug the mud out though.
South end of askew has a ramp on coldwater river. But like Big C said. It may or may not be covered in mud.
The dam, then askew, then snows landing just north of marks, then Marks landing, then 322 landing, and then nothing until it flows into the Tallahatchie river and there is a ramp a few miles from the mouth at strider bridge west of Charleston.
Thanks a bunch. I'm going to set out on a road trip to investigate these ramps. I am not at all familiar with the area so I'll have to be sure to gas up. Probably gonna get lost!
We used to drop the boat off the bank to unload at Crenshaw and then drag it back over the mud on the ramp to load up, ahh the good ole days!!

Rees I might be willing to try that, but my pop ain't going to have no part in it! He is finally starting to show some sense, and since he turned 80 this year, it's probably about time. Gives me hope. If I live that long, maybe I'll have some by that age too.
Thank you fellows again. I went out exploring yesterday, and I found a perfectly usable ramp just north of Marks. Me and Pop are going to put in there tomorrow and see what we can come across.
Good luck. Ramp off of bill street road??
