I've got a house just south of the dam in Wynn Springs cove. My family is from Adamsville and I've spent my whole life on pickwick.....and I echo everything thats been posted bout it. I will tell ya...outside of live/cut bait for cats...and the assortment of jigs for crappie....you can just about catch anything else outta the lake or the river on a 3"white grub.

I got some Bigfoot reports from up that way. LOL
RECEIVED: From the G.C.B.R.O. Web Site Submission Form

    DATE: 7/21/91
    TIME: 9:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Alcorn-Tishomingo County Lines in Mississippi.

TERRAIN: Partially wooded and cutover with swamps.
OBSERVED: Myself and three friends were riding around when we pulled off the highway to "relieve" ourselves. Two of the guys got out of the truck and walked over to a small embankment, myself and the other guy stayed by the truck. When of the guys yelled "Oh my God, ya'll come quick and look at this thing!" We ran over to where they were, and just by moonlight we saw the figure moving over a hill probably 60 to 70 yards across the cutover. From where we were it looked to be about 6 to 7 feet tall and had a somewhat shaggy or "matted hair". We all just looked at each other and started trying to make excuses as to what it was.We never really told anyone or when we did we kind of jokingly said we had seen "bigfoot" and laughed it off with the people we told. It has been several years, but we all still wonder what it was we saw that night. I've since heard "urban legends" about the "Gorilla of Sharp's Bottom" from a few people who's grandparents had told them about it. We just always thought it was to scare us from going down into that bottom when we were young.
