    Default Dang Deer

The deer have moved in on my pea patch this year. Every plant is topped, not the first pod or flower showing now. I was getting ready to fill a bucket or 4 tomorrow.
I have 3 strains of barbed wire, 4 strains of white cord and 4 strains of 80# mono. A lot of aluminum pie plates and cans hanging to make noise. Along with fresh hair from the barber shop and soap hanging from different locations.
Anyone want an out of season deer, come and get it.

The can definitely be pests sometimes. If it makes you feel any better, I'm cooking some deer back strap right now.

you might try this I always said it works cause it goes good when cooking deer that's why they stay away from it!!!

    Rosemary

    • Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is an herb that can grow as tall as five feet, which means it can come very close to nose level for deer, making it a suitable repellent. Rosemary grows well in stony somewhat alkaline soil. Plant rosemary along the edges of the garden.
Alternatively, boil six sprigs of rosemary in 8 cups of water with two tsp. of Tabasco sauce to make your own deer repellent. Let the concoction cool, pour it into a spray bottle and spray the perimeter of the garden. The strong smell should keep deer away. This homemade recipe is preferable to most store-bought deer repellents which often rely on coyote urine.

I hate that. We picked and shelled 350 gallons of peas this morning.
