mo, I see it is 12v so you should be good to go. Never let that type battery go all the way down, they will not charge back up. The cells have some stuff that look like house insulation that holds the electrolyte. ( ie no spill) Conventional battery's have cells with lead plates and the liquid electrolyte, (ie battery acid) causes a chemical reaction that gives you power. When NAPA came out with those non spill marine batt's I thought they were the bomb until I let them sit over winter and they would not charge back up.

Cray, its heavier than the small battery I have now, probably equal weight to a group 31. I guess I will try it one day and just see what kinda results I get. Thanks for the info torch. Dad had used it about two weeks ago, so hopefully it is still ok. If not, guess I can sell it to the scrap yard for the core.

Mo, it should do a good job for you. Only thing I found is if it is going in a compartment with lid double check height. I checked on cart battery for mine and it was just tall enough the post was going to touch aluminum lid. If clearance isn't a issue you should be good to go. Also check your charger to see if it has a gell setting on it. A lot of those gell type or glass filled batteries take a higher voltage setting than lead/acid battery to charge properly. Most new chargers ( onboard) have a plug you install or remove for that.

I'll look into the charger for sure, space isn't an issue, its just strapped to the floor.

That battery is out of a military HumV. They are 24 Volt and take 2 of those.

May try to, just gotta find space to haul it and time to go. We have 4 folks going in the truck, and really don't think I'll have room for a battery. May have to just make a special trip one day. I think it would be worth it for a few extra hours of trolling power
