There is no sport that takes as much skill to play as hockey does. Until you have been to a stanley cup final live in person. You will never convince me otherwise. Sorry Slab, I'm not a hawks fan. Even though I'm related to a couple of guys that played for the Hawks. One in the late 60's early 70's and the other in the mid 80"s. I will give you a hint we share the same last name. He holds the Blackhawks record for most assist in one game. For all you non beleivers about the skill it takes to play the game at that level. Go strap on a pair of skates. See if you can control the puck while trying to skate 20mph front and backwards, side to side. Oh did I mention the contact part of it. The NHL has the best athletes in the World, not just the USA.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

I took the kids to see some NCAA hockey in Tupelo a few months back. Ole Miss defeated Arkansas and Alabama defeated Miss State. It was a 2 for 1. It's a lot better in person than on TV

Hockey is one of the most physical sports there is maybe Rugby might be tougher. But to see a man 6'4" 250# skate at about 30 mph. and splatter an opponent all over the wall will get your blood flowing. Loved it back when the goalie wore no mask. Hull and Orr were the best. And Gretsky. They have a lot in common with us Rednecks. Don't none of them have any teeth!Saw a guy slap a puck from center ice and it went way up in the stands and almost took out a spectator.Always wanted to drive the Bony one time when I was a kid.Went ice skating about 10 yrs. ago and was sweating like a pig in 10 minutes! They make it look so easy and graceful! Oh, Yeh. Just imagine getting hooked in the mouth with one of them sticks. They only get about a 5 minute penalty and back on the ice they come! Sorry Slab, my daughter lives in Detroit and RED Wings rule! I used to love the Flyers back in the day when they were the bullies of hockey!
