I see everybody is catching fish pulling cranks but I have never done it so I am going to try spider rigging at the end of the week. Is pulling cranks that much more effective than spider rigging? Hopefully I see some of yall out there doing it so i can watch how its done. I'm planning on getting in the creek channel and fishing in about 20 foot of water with jigs tipped with minnows.

During the warmer months pulling cranks can be more effective. Spider rigging is still effective but cranks can cover so much more water.

Just power troll with bigger weights (2-3oz) and big jigs on your spider rigging poles and go faster, bout 1mph. Works about the same as cranks, and you can turn better and stay on the fish better when ya locate em. Cranks are much better when it's windy tho.
