We had a home inspector come by and do an inspection so when we sold the house there would be no surprises. He saw a crank in the brick n said we had foundation problems. The structural engineer just left and we have NO problems. The crack was just a brick ledge failure. House is good to go. Woohoo. Best $350 I've spent so far

most brick ledges are integral with the foundation footing
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Just glad it's OK. No foundation work required, just fill in a couple cracks in the mortar

Looked like a root broke the ledge, there was a big tree there when we got here which I've cut down. I'm just tired if being stressed out from heck. Ready to get all this over with

just make sure you got both in writing,,, especially the engineer !! if there was a tree/root it grew under the foundation and raised the footing... then when it decayed,, the footing went back down hence the stress crack. good chance the footing is broke,,, will it fall any more? prob not but it scares the helz outta most folk !!
Good deal, good luck selling

SELLING A HOME IS A LOT MORE IN DETAIL THAN BEFORE . OUR HOME INSPECTOR CITED ABOUT 50 THINGS THAT HAD TO BE REPAIRED . FOR EXAMPLE THE CAMODES HAD TO FLUSH AND WATER TURN OFF IN 24 SEC . . MINE WERE A BIT SLOW AT 28 . GIVE ME A BREAK . THEY TOOK AIR TEMP FROM INTAKE TO OUTPUT . THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BE TOO POOR TO SELL .LOL . REQUIRED 4-5 INCH SCREWS IN DOOR JAMS TO PREVENT EASY BREAKIN .WAS A BUNCH OF ELE. OUTLETS HAD TO BE REDONE .
