Cabelas has a rod called a Whoopin Stick that is made specifically for Trolling. It's a glass rod and they work great. Like I said, it's a Trolling model in 8 or 81/2'. I have 2 of em, and they only cost about 25-30 bucks each when on sale. I also use the Walleye Angler Trolling rods from BPS in a 12' and an 8'. They make a 10' also. These are Trolling models also, and the tips vibrate like they should. They also make them for Dead Stick, Bottom Bouncing, etc. I use 2 16' Tight Line Specials too, but the PST's work good as well. I'm going to be a BnM distributor soon, and will have a great price on all of the BnM poles at the shop. I'm fixing to place my order in the next day or two.
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.

That's good news. I'll need to jump the river and see you soon, then. I need some 14' PSTs for cranks.

I'm going to try basic baitcasters with the marked-every-ten-feet braid and see how it works. There are saltwater guys who use it for deep dropping, so it can't be that difficult to count out the color changes.
