I want to try out pulling crankbaits, but don't want to buy any line counter reels until I decide if I like it or not. Has anyone used the line counters that clips onto the rod? They cost around six dollars each. A lot cheaper than new reels. Do they perform well? Can I use my 12 ft trolling rods and reels? Thanks
