    Default Braid

What kinda braid yall use pulling cranks?? Havent had any probs with the mono but did notice the other day how much deeper a 300 would run with a lighter line on, had some 6 lb line on a few reals I was longlining with and it made a good bit of difference.

Tess I use some Cajun red braid I found on Cabelas real cheap. Don't know if they still have it or not. Use 15/4 and seems to do real good. Lots of braid on eBay from china. Some HS some pretty good pricing in large quanities. Think that is what ScottV uses.

20 lb PPro for me. I have the yellow on my 8 and 16 foot poles and orange on my 12 footers. Helps tell the difference in which line is which when I get a tangle

Seems to me they do. Line dia equals displacement. Smaller line dia less resistance.

Been using 10/3, but it'll get caught in anything it touches.

Like Cray said, I use the China stuff off of eBay and I've had no problems with it. I use the 20/8 hi-vis.

It's helped me out when turning as well. Easier to tell which line is which when you're trying to turn sharp and get back on a spot that's holding fish
