at around noon today, the county will find out if you will be able to purchase beer, liquor & light wine or not. Right now it has the county going wet but it is very very close, see below
With all 19 precincts reporting Tuesday night, the liquor referendum had 3,232 votes in favor of the measure with 3,213 against. That's a margin of 19 votes.
The beer and light wine referendum drew 3,219 votes for the measure with 3,175 against. The margin in that vote: 44.
There are 67 affidavit ballots which will be counted Wednesday at noon, according to Tishomingo County Circuit Clerk Donna Dill. At that point, the election results will be final.
Thanks for the info Larry but I hope that is not a big issue for folks considering Pickwick or not.

These guys are pro's. They know how to transport vast amounts of alcoholic beverage!
and were also 420 friendly and we are pros at that also
I've been going up there for years and I always take my beverages with me. If you were to slip up and forget the state line is a stones throw away. Hence the reason for that election, a lot of MS money is going across the border.

Feesh you are right, I have lived here for many years and this is is a "dry" county but illegally wet or that is my thoughts, I dont drink but lots of revenue being left out there for other states to take, back when I did drink, I had no problem getting it when I wanted it. Can be in the Center of Tish county and you are no more that 15-20 mins from getting whatever you choose.
Let me assure that 'bootlegging' fines are not cheap or in any way fair... Been there and done it..
