Default Thinking about hitting the Rez Saturday

I haven't fished since the birth of our son(3 weeks) and am thinking about fishing for 2 or 3 hours Saturday. Wonder what the water level will be by then? I am thinking I can catch them in 6-8 foot of water but I guess it will be trial and error. I hate not getting to fish for a month....I feel like I am behind.

Well I'm with you . I haven't been in a couple weeks and feel lost . and them louisville boys been down and cleaned the out . On the 29th was my last trip caught them 8' deep . How high the water is on the Rez is not that big a deal It stay about the same depth . the current will get you and most of all the wind , that wind will limit where you can fish . talked to a guy this afternoon . 2 of them limited out yesterday and the wind would not let them fish today . So it is always a game sometime we win and sometimes they do . go get them . enjoy

I'd say most of the good fish are in 6-10 fow, but like thump said the wind has a lot to say about where you can fish. There are some still to be found shallow if you are forced to fish that way.

I'm going to start off white perch fishing and stick with it as long as the wind will allow. Then I am going to carry some red wigglers and finish up the last hour trying to catch some red ear and blue gill. I hope the wind stays down so I can just perch fish but I can't fish where I want if the wind is blowing 10mph
