Get the biggest you can, you will need a couple of pass through connectors for hoses. Mount a bilge pump on back of pontoon, run a hose from it to one connector for inlet water. Then your going to have to mount a overflow hose to the other side some wher convenient so it can drain back to lake. You want over flow to be larger than inlet. I would buy one of those live well fill valves not spray bar. That vave allows you to regulate amount of water going in. I would try to replace the regular drain with a PVC valve where I could hook up a drain hose so you can empty at end of day. Get a dual outlet 12 volt power bubbles, drill hole towards top to route a hose through and use other outlet for minnow bucket. I put a timer on my live well and that also help a lot with not running it over.

Marty I have a regular live well in my boat. The idea for the bilge pump comes from a buddy's pontoon which has a factory live well that is filled by the bilge pump mounted on the pontoon. Just using the same set almost and replacing his factory setup with a cooler. I have turned a couple of storage compartments into live wells over the years using the same basic set up. I would be glad to come over sometime and help you out with it when and if you decide that's the route you want to take.
