Since i lost one

Thats what I was afraid of too handi. I would rather push jigs than pull cranks when it warms up, so I may be able to get by doing that. I will probably eventually get some pst's just in case I do decide to do some crankin, but I want my spider setup to be all ozarks before I get any

yeh Hugh, I know that. they're more flexable that the BGJP though

yeh Mo. you need totally different Rods for the 2 types of fishing. I have 6 crank poles and 8 spider rigging poles. Well, actually I got alot more than that cause I didn't go ahead and bite the bullet right off the bat and get 14's. I got a set of 10's and 12's at the house to. LOL

I use both the Ozark and the C and C. The C and C is way to limber in my opinion. You do see the lite biters better, but you must net all your fish because the backbone is non existent. The Ozark has a lite tip action, but you can handle big fish better because of the backbone it has.

Both poles have pluses and minuses. The C and C rolls around bad when playing a fish, but with the lite backbone, the pole doesn't load up very fast, and the lite biters won't feel the backbone and spit the bait near as fast. The Ozark on the other hand has much more backbone, and can handle up to 2-3 oz weights for power trolling when the fish are more aggressive, or might work pulling cranks, which I haven't done with them. It has an extremely lite tip, but will load up faster with the lite biters, so you must grab them before the fish has time to spit the bait when it feels the backbone.

In colder weather, I use the C and C's so the fish will hang on longer. I use the Ozarks the rest of the time.

I use 20 ft cane poles they have plenty of backbone and load up nicely but watch out when they unload and they double as a azz whippen stick

I started out years ago with 16' Walley Marshal tight line specials. Tough poles, but heavy and stiff. I now use B & M PST's
