it's like anything else, you have to take the good with the bad. i've run into some pretty ignorant and rude "home folks", lol, also. you cannot group people into one category.i was at lakeway 2 weeks ago and there were three groups of out of staters.....iowa, illinois, and south carolina, and all were friends meeting here to fish. they were as nice as can be, and we talked for 30 minutes or so. one had a map of grenada lake, and I pointed out several spots they could try, and i hattold them all i knew (which isn't much, lol) at the time to help them catch a few fish........i really enjoyed chatting with them. the vast majority of out of staters are courteous and friendly, but there are a few bad apples...........just like there are a few bad apples of mississipians. i think that this is a sport that should be enjoyed by all americans from everywhere as long as laws are obeyed. i would like to go to iowa, illinois, or missouri to fish for smallmouths, trout, or steelhead sometimes if i can, and i would like to feel welcomed.
