Lordy .. What a day.

Went to Sardis this am with my fishing buddy. Got there and the fuel line on my motor had a small leak when I pumped it up. I cut the leaky spot out and put it back together.. Pumped up fine and started right up.. So we put in at Wyatt's.. Good grief that current is running and man was it foggy. Anywho .. We motored down and started fishing just past the umbrella tree and slowly picked up one or two..my buddy gets a text from his buddy who says they have been catching them just a little farther down .. So I reach back and hit the starter on my motor and it spins but doesn't start.. So I check the lines again all seems well. Choke it a little.. Still nothing. Now we get a little antsy .. It's a long way back with just a trolling motor. So I fiddle with the motor as he fishes.. He picks up a couple more and I give up with no clue what's wrong with it . We fish around a little bit longer and decide to see if we can make it back to the ramp.. We did pretty well till we hit that current.. Then we just stopped. We grabbed a tree and held on... Luckily some nice guys in a bigger boat offered us a tow in or we may still have been there waiting. Anyway thanks to whoever those guys were if they are members. They didnt even stop after they dropped us off at the ramp. And now the real point of the post... do we have a decent boat motor mechanic in desoto co anymore?
