Mississippi crappie license plate....

How come we have a bass, turkey, deer, duck and a quail-dove-rabbit license plate in Mississippi but do not have one with a crappie on it?!?! Mississippi is known world wide as -THE- crappie fishing destination and yet we don't have a tag to show this. What are your thoughts on this and who can we contact to get the ball rolling to get one??

It's a Game and Fish Commission initiative in Ark. The tags are $35 extra a year with the money going to the Game and Fish Foundation.
Check where you get your car tags to find out who spearheads it in Mississippi. If it's the legislature, they wrap up this session in 2 weeks.
If it's the MDWFP, start calling and asking for a new plate. As many crappie fisher persons as there are here, and since you are the acknowledged crappie heaven, whoever designates the specialty plates will be receptive if they see enough interest

Find out who we need to contact and post it up here. I'd even swap out my NRA plate for a crappie tag.

That's a good looking plate Handi, we've got them for everything else I don't see why we can't have a crappie plate.
