Went to Davis lake for a while today to try to catch a few from the bank since it was to windy to mess with my pontoon not knowing if it was going to run right are not. We tried to fish from one of the main points close to deep water where we knew brush had been placed. We found out real quick the wind was blowing way harder than the weatherman said it would. You could throw out with a cork and two 1/8 jigs and it would circle back around slap you in the back of the head. So I said to my son and my little nephew the heck with this y'all need to go fly a kite. Well they went and bought kites and they and my daughter spent all afternoon having a ball. They went through 6 kites all together. Guess life gives you lemons you have to make lemonade!

Maybe you will have a good fishing day pretty soon. In the meantime get a set of muffs and put the water hose on your pontoon motor and run it and see how its gonna do so it will be ready when a good day comes along.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I took it last fall to trace and it wouldn't get over 3500 rpm and didn't want to idle very well so I went home and we drained the bowls cleaned with carb cleaner and changed plugs then I took a gallon jug mixed a double dose of seafoam in it and hooked to water hose and run that gallon through it. I carried back to the trace and it would idle better but would not get over 4000 rpm. I brought it back and run seafoam through it again and it run for about an hour and sounded good and idled good but I didn't get to go back to the lake yet.got my fingers crossed it will run better but I figure I will have to get carbs redone. Its a1999 50 hp merc with 3 carbs.

It's a 1999 fisher 20 ft fishing model with a swivel seat at each corner. I removed the couch and have open floor plan lot of room for coolers and bait tank if needed. Use to catfish ms river with it before I really started crappie fishing with it. Has 24 inch pontoons and will float in very shallow water. Has live well also.
