Got a buddy that has recently got into spider rigging. He is looking at a larger boat and I wonder if any of you have had experience with the following. Thanks for the I input. Looking for the pros and cons of the boat.

go to utube and type in ranger cherokee boat. looked at one with a 90 on it and it was moving on pretty good. showed speed and it was doing 45 mph. i like the deep sides. looks like it might handle rough water pretty good.
DEAD AS FRIED CHICKEN
Should be a good boat for spider rigging etc.

Think the Cherokee was offered in 17 and 18' only. That looks to be an 18. We're said to be fine boats. There one in Grenada that a fella has fished for many years and he still likes it, although he does not fish much these days.
Ranger left the aluminum market to concentrate on glass. Think the market at that time had more to do with it than a lack of quality or acceptance.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
I read recently where Ranger is bringing their aluminum boats back this year

Knew a guy who bass fished out of one for a long time. He liked it and never herd him say anything Neg about it. Don't know this to be fact but was told early ones were made by Crestliner to ranger spec and later were actually built by Ranger and as WB said they got out because of the market at the time. When I was looking for a boat thought about one but everyone I found was in my opinion over priced. They do have plenty of room and pretty good storage.
