    Default 24 Volt trolling motor

I am looking to buy a 24V trolling motor. I have owned both Minn Kota and Motor guide. Foot Control is what I am after. Anyone with any issues on either brand? I am leaning toward the MG for price alone.
    Ya'll let me know.

What is going on? I ask a question wanting to gather opinions so I can make a decent decision, and 2 people respond?!?!
I know this site and some of the people on it, and not having an opinion on a ANY TOPIC is almost unheard of. Just like not stating an opinion on ANY THREAD is about as unlikely as a hen having teeth.
Thanks to the 2 that have responded. I just do not need to make a $600 mistake.

I have owned both....I just always liked MinnKota better....they are quieter. The new ones are digital and use less battery, and their customer service is great.

Don't buy a Motor Guide and you wont make a mistake.. I've had 2 MG's and 2 MK's.. MK is much smoother in the pedal and way quieter.. Pretty simple to work on too

Just took a MG off my boat, hated it(It was an older model tho). Loud, foot control was hard to work, and had to change foot control on/off switch 5 times and finally just used it broken. Wish I could have afforded the Terrova with foot control, but pinching pennies and terrova's dont go together. Got a few buddies with Minn Kota on their bass rigs and they like them a lot, Just seems MK is stayin on the cutting edge a little more than MG.
