I phone and waypoint

Can i somehow put a waypoint into an I phone and find the location? I know I can send my location to people but wondering if I can text someone a waypoint and they somehow plug it in like a gps.

Download Navionics onto it and you can mark, track and whatever else. Also I use it even when I dont have service, wont show the map but will show you location and track and then when you get service i shows on the map. Ruff on battery tho.
