So what about flood control does anybody no the answer i thought that guy was crazy when he was telling me that
Some were burial mounds, others were ceremonial. I'm sure they all were used as high ground during floods. The one GDG is showing is at Nanih Waiya, and is considered the mother mound and origins of the Choctaw Tribe. It is only a few hundred yards from Nanih Waiya Creek which is the head waters if the Pearl River. It happens to be where I learned to Feesh at as a little feeshrboy!
Ask "G". I bet he helped build some of them!!! :)
Grab a shovel FA and start digging for answers...
Their may be a stash of little debbies under their you may want to get to digging
Y'all make me sick. I believe what my wife says and they were not all burial mounds. As a matter of fact with a little research very few were used for burial. Now buy me lunch gewber, something nice, a place to set down.
