was coming home from Jackson last night with camper and boat. I got almost to Shaw Ms and made a hard left turn to only realize I had no boat behind camper.
I saw it last when I made a hard right off 82 onto 448 highway in Indianola. I got out of the truck and went back to camper to see what had happened. The WHOLE HITCH HAD PULLED OUT OF THE BUMPER ON THE CAMPER. Welds, bolts and all gone. My mind was racing that boat had hit someone head on and killed them. I was going slow with flashers on and had my wife call the Sunflower County Sheriffs office to have officers help me look for it. I was sick to my stomach riding back looking for boat. I just knew it had gone across a wet field flipping end over end and was tore all to hell. I had just about made it back to Indianola and I saw my boat on a farmers turn row. Looked like I had pulled it in and dropped the trailer. Wasn't a scratch on it just some mud. My spare tire hangs down about 12 inches under the tounge of the trailer and that acted as a brake and kept tounge from digging in an flipping. All I can say is God was looking out for me and blessed me. After I got my stomach out of my throat ( I was literally sick to my stomach) I talked to the deputy sheriffs and they said they had never seen anything like this. The boat looked as if some one had just steered that boat off the highway and placed it on that turn road. Any way me and wife are ok and thought I would share it with ya'll.
