Default Crazy creature caught in my minnow trap!

Just caught one of these in a minnow trap from Johnson creek.
It's called a Siren. It's an eel-like aquatic salamander that has FEET! This thing is awesome. It's gills are on the outside of it's body and are bright red bushes.
I thought I had a dang snake in the trap, until I saw it had a tail. Then I thought it was an eel, until I saw FEET!? Had to google what the heck it was!

After talkin to my dad about it, he said he use to catch them in the creeks too. Called them Mud Puppies.

Yep. They are the bait of choice for early spawn bass on Okeechobee in Fla.
