New Terrova question....

It's worth the extra $, u won't regret it... I don't..

I have a similar sized boat. My old 45 lb unit was not adequate in winds above 10 MPH. I suspect the 55 lb will be OK for you.

I bought the 80 lb Terrova and I no longer have problems with the wind. I am very glad I spent the money.

Go with the 24V if you have room for the extra battery. I will be getting the 12V 55 for my 16 ft rig. Go for all the motor you can afford/ have room for

Look at it this way...you use your outboard for 8 minutes and your troll motor 8 hours. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER under power a troll motor.
