    Default Memphis Boat Show Vendors?

The vendor list looked a little bigger this year than the last few. I have gone for the past 6 years and the last 4 years I go away with the opinion it was a waste of time and I am not going to go next time. However Feb comes around and I talk myself into going again in hopes it will be like years past when there was a good amount of vendors participating.

Those in the know, how is vendor participation looking this year?

I don't know the vendor list for this show. However, I have gone to a few and wasn't impressed at all. I know it's a way for vendors to sell boats but other than that it just separates me from my money for admission.

Same opinion here. Once upon a time, you went to the shows and came home with a sack full of samples and goodies from the vendors. Not anymore, plus in Jackson, a bunch of the vendors aren't even boating/fishing related.

Freebies aren't the issue in my mind. Last year there was one booth that was selling rods and baits. one had some used rods and maybe one more that was selling some jigs. In the past there was 4 or 5 and you could walk away with some pretty good deals.

Also the boat dealers, selling fishing boats, were just 2 dealers last year. Even if your not in the market it is good to see what is out there.

I spent most of my time looking at RVs last year. I hope it is back on an upswing.

I've been there for the last 8 years. They closed the one at the Convention Center because it wasn't making enough money to fool with. I liked it and always did well. Hope the one at the Agri Center stays around. Come on out and waste a few bucks. Ain't no worse than going to BPS and seeing the same ole stuff.

Don't think Grizzly Jigs will be there. Guess they made to much money at their own deal. There is only a few tackle places again this year, but if ya need a boat, I'll see y'all there. Hey, it is a Boat Show!!!!! ;-)

BTW, there is a big booth that will take Grizzly's place selling tackle. Didn't get a chance to check it out tho. Been to busy. Hauled 16 rigs there.

Thanks Canebreaker for the help today. I'll see ya there Saturday.

I've got two boxes of 9mm bullets (41rounds to be exact) and 88 rounds of 357 jacketed HP's if someone needs some ammo. Come by booth at the show if interested. No PM's. Just call me.

If you need roasted Walnuts, Fudge, or a vacation in the Ozarks, the Memphis boat Show is the place to be.

If you need fishing tackle, not so much.
