    Default Got a ? About a boat

I'm thinking of purchasing this boat and rigging to spider rig and maybe even long line some. I currently have an 18' tin boat, but wanting something a little more stable in big water.

Would appreciate any pros and cons about a boat like this. I have never owned a glass boat before and don't know if I would like one or not.

I started out with one about like that. I had a 18 1/2 foot Nitro fish/ski and it did work for spider rigging. Biggest problem is the small deck up front. It's TIGHT quarters to say the least

Hopefully Reesguide will jump in here and help you out. He is fishing out of a Astro similar to that. Thought about one but like DD said way cramped on front deck for 2 people. Looks like they would be great for Longlining and pulling cranks. And a lot to me would be the price.

Room on the front deck and storage are both issue, the Astro actually has more room than alot of em do but it is still tite on the front with 2 fishing. The glass in cool weather sure is nice tho, knocks alot of wind off of ya.

Curious, how does glass keep the wind off better than tin?

Ok, so there's not much room up front, what about the stability? I normally fish by myself, so room is not that big of a deal.
Rees guide, could you explain what you mean about the glass keeping the wind off of ya. I'm definitely not a boat pro, but I can't seem to grasp what you're talking about here. Are you sitting on the floor and the sides cover you? Tell me more please. This is interesting and just may be a selling point.

WB could you elaborate a little more on your opinion?
