Our oldest mini dachshund Oscar
13 years old is not doing well. He has fluid on his lungs. Melissa got him to the vet in time but I'm not too hopeful myself. We have to give him lacices twice a day. Hopefully it will work

Thanks guys--this one has gotten Melissa through some hard times and has had a go of it himself. There was one time when we had been married for a couple of years and Oscar was sleeping in the bed with us and I couldn't feel him breath. I actually thought he had stopped breathing so i gave him mount the snout. The first thing that went through my mind was how am I going to be able to deal with Melissa--well he opened his eyes and just gave me this look as if to say what the heck are you doing to me--he was just very sound asleep--but I knew if he had died it was going to be rough on Melissa and me (self preservation) He is a special pup for sure and since we do not have children--he is like one to us for sure.
