Man my dad always taught me that no matter how gentle a horse may seen to never never get behind one, never trust one that much and I have always lived by that, horses are not my thing either guys.

Have had a couple that were as gentle as they could be but get in that blind spot and spook em and they'd kick the stuff out of whatever it was. He's got some sore days ahead of him for sure!!

Ive had horses all my life and have one now(not by choice).And the older i get the more i hate them.Heads up when your kids say i want a horse,buy a golf cart.Sorry to hear about your neighbor.

been around horses off and on most of my life and one of the first things I learned was a horse will hurt it self just to get away--a mule won't
