Man my dad always taught me that no matter how gentle a horse may seen to never never get behind one, never trust one that much and I have always lived by that, horses are not my thing either guys.
Have had a couple that were as gentle as they could be but get in that blind spot and spook em and they'd kick the stuff out of whatever it was. He's got some sore days ahead of him for sure!!
