No problem, just 'cause I'm here don't mean anyone has to stop by, lol. I've just really enjoyed meeting all the CDC Members I have so far. Don't know if any of them properties are still in your family, but if they are (or you can get permission) and you'd ever have an interest to run a Metal Detector over 'em, let me know, I got an extra and can give ya' a crash-course.

I was going to run down today for a quick fix, but the school called, pick up a sick child.
Dr. appt. in the morning, all the kids get out at noon. I'll give them a crash course about the equipment. Carry them home then pick them up wednesday and be down later.

Thanks, Neon!Ain't sure who owns that property now, but didn't see any posted signs! Maybe I can check over at Wallaces and they might know! That would be interesting! There were at least 6 to 8 families that lived in there and some had young children. When the men brought in the fish the women would go to work cleaning and wrapping and storing the fish on ice and a sign would go up on the Hwy. and then the cars would start rolling in!My granddaddy would come in most times with his boat loaded to the top with cats!He ran lines, guilds, and hoops. I still got one of his trotlines and its got to be at least 50 years old and it looks brand new!He caught a cat out of the Tallahatchie River before the levee was put up on Sardis Lake that weighed 103 lbs on a snag line so he wasn't able to tell anyone at the time!I'll post some old pics on here one day of life back then at Sardis!

Be interesting to see the pics. I saw a 100 year-old pic taken at Reelfoot (1911-12) posted in the TN Board while I was up there. Got lots of memories of my Grandpa as well, was big in the local Coon Hunters Club, and I remember going out nights with him when I was little. A few years back, Dad gave me Grandpas old Coon Huntin' pistol (Model 35 Stevens).
