Just got back from the planer. Think this will make a nice table top.
Sent from my dang phone
It should Sammy. Are you just going to butt joint and glue the boards or are you going to make a rabbit joint....or are you going to butt and use bisquits? I use the bisquits a lot and really prefer that method.
Prolly gonna use the pocket hole just G. With wood glue. I have done em this way before and its so easy to do and fast. And as soon as you get it put together you dont have to wait. NO drying time.
To me, it is hard to beat butt with bisquits. It's really the best of both worlds. G really knows his stuff. Good luck gdg!
Not gonna do a whole lotta finishing on it G. Prolly sand it down to 220 and be done with it. She is wanting that antique look to it. Legs and runners will be antique black and I am thinkin Early American stain with a flat poly on the top.
Pocket hole is good to, it's helped a few times when I was in a jam.
Just really darkens up the pine a little Slimey. Not a whole lotta color to it just makes the pine darker and doesnt take away from the grains. Its between a medium and a dark brown
