None of my business, but if you're gonna strip it down, why wouldn't you just go to Walmart and buy an 870 for less than $300 to hunt with? Just a suggestion. That way you could use this gun for its practical purpose of self/home defense.

Not really planning to strip it all the way, gonna leave the stock and Hastings slug barrel, add my scope mount and scope. Sell the laser/lite combo, quad rail, single point sling, extension tube, and the 30 or so rounds of reduced recoil ammo. Not big on home defense, end of the world kinda stuff and I got PLENTY of weapons that are plenty capable of tending to business.

Now Ree may want to play with those light loads with her friends. You know give them the hard stuff and I'll shoot the light stuff kind of thing.
That's what Kayla does to me when we go to the range. We will load up 4 or 5 cans of ammo. She will pull out a tray of 50. If she doesn't like the way they shoot she will unload the gun and start on another tray. And say her grand dad, these are for you.
