major....I eat hushpuppies a couple of times a week without fish.....they make good appetizers

And what is wrong with eating them with the deer steak ? Those that scott made you don't need anything with them . I used to kill ten a year . I ain't mad at them no more a couple is plenty . I was feeding 5 families at the time .

Let me say 10 deer is not alot to eat if that is your main source of meat.I try to put 5 or 6 deer and 2 to 3 hogs and I run out before season starts every year.On an average deer you will get about 20lbs of sausage and two backstraps,that's not alot.At my house the only meat we buy is chicken and i'm about to put a stop to that.Imo alot of the meats you buy in stores is not right.How can you buy a roll of sausage and two days later it's bad,something is wrong with that.
