I vote G sets the camp dates. The FJ committee shouldn't be setting camp dates. FJ's don't have anything to do with camps. Not to mention they set the last one on a MCC tournament date which hosed quite a few people out of coming to camp.
Make some suggestions and put it to a vote G.

The way these parks are laid out Sardis and Enid have the best accomodations at one location. Grenada has campgrounds behind the dam and a couple other locations, but the cabins are a long drive away, I know their are a few campsites near the cabins but not many and it is very uneven ground. Besides if the lake is low you will have to drive all the way out of the park and half way around grenada county to launch your rig. I don't know of anything on the waterway that offers anything more than just campsites. Pickwick could be an option J.P. Coleman has cabins, a small 16 room hotel, and campsites. It would be a long drive for our southernmost members but it is the prettiest lake in the state. I guess what i am saying is i prefer Enid, Sardis, and Pickwick, in that order. This is just my opinion based on what i have seen at these locations while visiting them. Any other ideas, suggestions?
Yeh....my suggestion is the State Park at Enid......Then you can fish three lakes easily if you want to. The campground is good and so are the cabins.
Does everyone camp at Persimmon Hill?
Past camps they always camped at the state park. The state park has some great hosts and rangers and they are friends with us.Quote:

Yeh John....everything is there, campground, cabins, pavillion, and boat ramp. Its really a good set up. The Park Hosts are good people too.
Wonder if Ms Nancy is still over there, sweet lady. Sounds like fun times ahead.

Rees, Speck and I stay at Persimmon Hill. The campground is nice, the pads are concrete and level with plenty of room for a boat and tow vehicle. The ramp and the restaurant are right around the corner.
