That RV filter is the best way I've found. Just run your water when you need it. You don't have to wait for 24 hours for the chlorine gas to dissipate. And it removes a whole bunch of other chemicals as well.

Well water with the blue stuff kept 40dz alive in 100qt cooler for 5 days back in july... Kept water cool and circulated, no problems
Every water system is different. Where I live anything less than 24 hours is disastrous.
