They really make a huge difference is shallow water. I've put out 12's and then I was suing my 16 foot cranking poles with minners at Grenada last year is 4-5 FOW, I NEVER got a bite on the 12's, only the 16's. That shallow and the fish spook pretty good
Caught fish in shallow water yesterday on the 12s but my rod racks are way forward. Just cant swing the 14s rite now is all, 50 bucks a piece and need 10 of em, or I would get the Ozarks. I dont doubt that the longer rods help in shallow water but rite now the 12s are doing the job.

They are limber all the way to the handle......I like them with some backbone out from the handle aways.......you really need it when you get some trash fish on.

I think so John.....they were the light gray fiberglass ones anyway......just did not like the feel of them. A half ounce of weight and they would bow real bad

Ok.....they might be better then.....I will look at mine today and see what they say on them. I kept them and if somebody is fishing with me and does not have any poles I let them use them. Most the time they are just laying out in my shop because my fishing partner has a set of poles he keeps in my boat with my poles. Cant have too many lol...I got poles everywhere.

Me too, from 16 down to 5 1/2. I was using the Pinnacle beside a couple of PSTs and it really didnt sag more than the other and to be honest they felt stouter when one of those big gars was on than the PST. Ifn someone just wants to go have some fun I can hook em up on a gar fest, them dudes were huge, had one take out about 100 foot of line before I wore him down.
