Thanks guys, things were better yesterday afternoon. Between re-tieing everything and making sure I had 10 on my drops and my main line and have my drag loose enuff I only lost part of one rig. Give me a little time and maybe I will get it figured out.Quote:

He aways loosened the drag on all his reels when he finished for the day. He claimed that the drag washers would start to stick if you left them screwed down tight all the time. So I got in the habit and I try to loosen mine each day and then I check them as I set them out the next time I go out. It is a pain if you are running 10 or 20 rods, but might save you a trophy fish one day.
Have known a few that done that as well. When I green carp fish the first thing i do is check the drag. Just got to make it a habit with my crappie rods. Finding myself trying to start good habits, all weekend i was grabbing the rod with the right hand which is a no no for me, needs to be the left. Been fishing real shallow the last couple of days and it helps to be able to release some line. Time on the water is gonna make some good habits i hope.
