You gettin old Reese. I ain't seen no boo on either lake in the last 15 years or so, unless you countin the stuff put out there for habitat. You ever run boo out of "tha beast"?

I must of not noticed, I use to see it all the time
I seldom fish either lake and see it almost every time I go. Aint run no boo out of the Beast but ifn I see a need to you can bet yo bottom dollar I will. Gonna run some boo crappie condos out of it after this Big Mama tourney gets out of here but they will be dropped in the lake never to be seen again.:biggrin
i already have a 12ft pinacle that broke off to about 10 half feet and 2 bm telescopin poles that are ok. Im tring not to not touch the cane pole coment
Good cause it werent meant as a negative at all, ton of folks push with em.
A PST is a good rod and when not fishing from a boat I find myself wanting plenty of backbone in the rod I choose. 12fters and down are 2 piece and 14s and 16s are 3 piece. I fish alot of ditches from the bank in the spring and like I said I use a 16 ft PST because of the reach and the strength of the rod. Are you jig fishing or cork and minner fishing? Dont like the 16 for cork and minner myself, 12 is plenty long.
Rees I have to disagree with you on the 16' pole. They are way too heavy to jig fish with they are too long.Besides when your walking the bank, they are more than likely spawning so no need in 24' pole
Get a 12ft sam heaton from bnm and you will be ready...or for a little stiffer rod go with the brushcutter in a 12ft by bnm.
One more thing, before I bought a whole bunch of poles and stuff you should try pm'ing a few of the members on here and seeing if you could tag along. Most all my fall fishing is on KY Lake and if your ever in the area let me know and I'll gladly take you. There are several good guys with more than enough room in their pontoons and fish n skis to let ya tag along.
