    They don't hold up to well for dipping fish out of the fryer.

    That's right, big difference between 200 degrees water vs 375 degrees oil.

    Lived on an offshore platform, Mr Joe, the cook, didn't speak English but he sure taught me to eat. Very fond memories of that experience. It was great when the shrimp boats would pull along side and want to trade fresh caught seafood for diesel fuel.
