Looks like it is going track right over my house so I figured it wouldn't hurt to run the generator for a while, top it off along with the spare cans, also the truck. Went to the store bought extra cases of water, beenie weenies, spam (yes, I said spam), saltines & batteries. It will all get used eventually anyway.

Well can't say I'm ready for it. I'm sitting in the GOM 120 miles south of New Orleans. We got caught in a loop current @ 3.4 knots in 6,000 fow and was delayed in getting unlatched from wellhead. Finally got unlatched early this morning. We're now drifting SE toward storm trying to pull 6,000 ft of riser before it gets to rough and we have to stop. We'll have to hang it off and get up to a blistering 1/2 knot per hour trying to get out of the way, don't look we're going to make it totally. Looks like we'll have to ride this bad boy out. Times like this is when you eat very little and lay low and keep the PFD close by. Looks like the next couple days are going to be tough.
