so the maint. on the diesel is the main thing you have to keep up with?
Yep, cost bout hundred bucks to change the oil. Change fuel filters, which I need to do and you are good.
16 quarts! You do the change yurself? My Duramax 6.6 takes 10. I only avg. 12 mpg, but I'm usually runnin w/ tow/haul locked in pullin the fiver and boat. 2X on the expensive repairs tho. Had to have injectors replaced recently and it ran $4000 which really wasn't a bad deal for all eight from the quotes I got. That's why I drive this li'l puddle jumper for work Think I can fit this in the back of the duramax. :biggrin

Yep 16 quarts, bout had a heart attack first time I changed it and yes I do my own maintaining.
Mine holds 10 gallons of oil and gets between 7-8 mpg pulling 45,000lbs
Been thinking about getting one myself. I need something that will haul up 4 horses, also haul hay during the winter, have a small tractor that I haul a couple of times a year. The 7.3 power strokes are nice and the 5.9 cummings are good too, haven't had any dealings with the duramax. Probably making my decision on what to get in the spring.
get u a car with a 4 cyl or a ford ranger with a 4 cyl then get you about 5 telephone books :biggrin
