    Default Motor Guide Question

If you look at Rees picture of his motor for sale, you'll see that the pointer is inline with the motor and prop. Mine is off, almost to 3 o'clock. What can I do to fix it?

Turn it with your hand til it's lined up. I used to have one that would do the same.

I never looked at the pointer on those type trolling motors.....I just watch the boat.....between that and the foot pedal position....you don't really need a pointer.

I've tried to move the pointer disc. Do I need to loosen something first?

The pointer is a large plastic gear. It's just slipped a cog or seven. If its tight enough not to move take the head cap off and reset it.

May be able to raise it up and turn it and reset it, had an older one that was that way. G, when fishing at night it sure is nice to have one with the direction lit up.
