I did cabinets years ago. They were natural with a sealer/clear coat. She wanted them white. After 3 coats of Kilz. We took them down and washed with Murphy oil soap. The water was black after each cabinet. Simple job took 5 weeks to finish. Had to work when she was there. The house was 8 years old. Never again.

The only way to paint cabinets is to spray them. The doors for sure and the boxes if possible. Usually not possible to spray the boxes if they already installed but u can take the doors off and spray them. Will get twice as good of results on the doors if ya spray em.Originally Posted by martyrm
