I read this on another forum. Looks like it is true. Will be release for sure next week at ICast.
ICAST 2012 update, sneak peek Minn Kota Ipilot Link | Saltyshores.com
Minn Kota introduces new product at ICAST 2012 called I-Pilot Link. Minn Kota has integrated their iPilot trolling motors, which use GPS navigation to automatically guide your trolling motor, with select Humminbird depthfinders. Now you can control your trolling motor through your fishfinder in addition to the remote control.I’m only going to share two new features. One is called GoTo – you can select stored data (Spot-Lock location, waypoint, or trolling paths), and the trolling motor will automatically take you there. Plus you can control the speed you travel as well. The seconed feature is called “Follow The Contour” (available only with Lake Master maps) – you can select a contour depth on your map via your Humminbird, and the trolling motor will automatically follow it in any
direction you wish

That sounds like a great idea. Now every thing I've got is obsolete. Lol

Hum - Back in October of 2011 I heard a rumor that some ole boy in Mississippi had figured out how to do that exact thing. I went on HB forums and asked but the answer I got was - no way no how -, but maybe in the future. Kinda figured it was in the works then and kinda hush hush business strategy thingy. Oh well I'll wait until it's out for a year or so to see some reviews on it. I see it being very useful trolling, being able to use saved tracks on fish finder. Guess I'd better start saving my allowance.
